Have you ever just wanted to get out and see the country? Some people love to take to the roads on motorcycles (Easy Rider, anyone?) and some like to load up the car for a cross country expedition, but if you have ever wanted to really experience the country the way it was meant to be seen then you can’t go wrong with an RV. And while the vehicle and the insurance and the gas prices might seem like quite the investment up front, the benefits are more than worth the price.

An RV, or a recreation vehicle, is often characterized as an oversized transport, somewhat resembling a small bus. You see them on the road all the time whenever you are traveling out of the country. These enormous vehicles serve two purposes – they give you a mode of transportation and you can actually live in them. I’m not kidding, these things have their own kitchens, bedrooms and even bathrooms, but the reason many people like to travel in them is the sense of community that is felt both by the occupants and other people who use RVs.

There are RV parks all over the country where people can just go to park and turn in for the night and, for some, it is a great chance for fellow RV-owners to get to know one another. And the versatility of the vehicle can really help families get closer together while traveling on the open road. So if you are going to see the country and you have the cash, you might consider looking into one of these enormous vehicles.

Renting an RV can be a fun and exciting time. This is a great way to drive an RV around the United States without having to worry about all the upkeep. Renting an RV is a rather easy process, and if you’re considering a rental, there are things that most companies are going to look out for before handing over the keys.

The age limit: Most companies are going to require that the driver is over the age of 25. While some may rent out to those that are under 25, there may be an additional fee that can apply. This is very similar to the same way car rental companies work.

Valid license: You must be licensed through the state to legally drive the RV. While no special licenses such as CDL are required, most companies can offer tips to those that are driving them for the first time.

A security deposit: To protect the company, a security deposit will be required before the RV is rented out. This is going to protect the company from any unwanted damaged done to the RV. If the RV is returned with damages, the security deposit won’t be returned.

As long as you’re insured, have a license and you meet the minimal financial responsibilities, most companies are going to be more than happy to rent out to you.

Whether you’re looking to go on several camping trips or you’d like to take an RV on long road trips, finding the right RV is important. In order to find the best RV for your plans, you need to find a good RV service to set you up.

Where to Find the Best RV Services :

Ask around: If you know someone that has rented or bought an RV before, be sure to ask where they got it from. Also, ask them whether or not they’d recommend that company, if there were any problems with the RV and if they’d consider them again. This is a great way to know whether or not you should consider a certain company.

Search online: Since a lot could go wrong with an RV like the engine and certain parts and pieces of it, you want to make sure you get an RV from a trusted company. One way to do that is by searching online for RV services in your area. A lot of times people can rate and leave reviews about a certain service or company, so be sure to check them out.

As you can see, making sure you get an RV from a good service is important. We all want a nice, stress free ride and the first step is planning ahead!

This park has stocked ponds which make for some nice quite fishing. It has an easy drive route to places like Pasadena, Deer Park, and Channelview. Pine Lakes is only a few minutes away from Galveston Bay. So if you want to do some water sports the water is right there. Pine Lakes’ motto is “where friends become family.” Another park is Casa RV Park. This park is right up the road from shopping and fishing on the coast. This park has phone hook ups, a laundry room, and free cable T.V. The park is a clean and quiet community.

A great place to rent RV’s is J&S RV Rentals. The offer lots of RV rentals for things like trail rides, cook offs, and temporary housing. The biggest J&S offer is a 30ft. travel trailer with a slide out. The price is 625 dollars for seven days and 75 for extra days.

A place to get your RV service is Kapital Kampers, INC. They are a family owned business and have been in business for 50 years. They have a LPG dump station and they can handle any need you have like slide-out rooms, a/c, and refrigeration.

When taking a vacation that requires an overnight stay, there are a few things that people are going to consider as a means of lodging. This can include camping, a hotel or staying with a relative. While most of them have their own perks, camping with a RV may top them all.

Go at your own pace: With a hotel or a relative’s house, you’re going to have to rush to get there since you have reservations. An RV is different since you can simply travel at your own pace, and stop at a campground when you’re ready to stop.Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here.

It’s a house on wheels: Keep all your items in the back such as your bedsheets, the kitchen accessories, clothes and more. There’s no reason to pack up the luggage and take it in and out as you go. This alone is going to save a lot of hassle.

Cook your own meals: While some hotels have kitchens built into them, it’s rather rare. With an RV, you can store your food in the cabinets, refrigerator and you’ll be able to cook at your own pace with all the appliances that you’re accustomed to having at home.

While a hotel or relative’s house can have it’s perks, an RV can offer many benefits that one hasn’t thought of. Even if you don’t own an RV, consider renting one for your next trip.
